THE VCS PROJECT
We've built a voice communication simulator for Luftfartsverket (LFV) to aid in air traffic controller training. This simulator enables practice in real-time communication between controllers and pilots over radio frequencies.
Developed as part of the II1305 course at KTH.
Our platform offers two main roles: air traffic controller (ATCO) or pilot.
Users can seamlessly join and disconnect from various frequencies for real-time audio communication.
ATCOs have the added ability to cross-couple frequencies and internally call other ATCOs.

In the dashboard, users can easily customize roles and frequencies, including adding, editing, or removing them.
Real-time monitoring shows the number of connected users per frequency.
